As a homeowner in the south, I'm in a constant battle with privet hedges. Birds scatter the seeds everywhere so there's no getting rid of them once and for all. This product kills them when sprayed on the leaves and also when sprayed on the stumps after you cut the older seed bearing hedges. You may have to repeat treat some but I've found that true of all products available to homeowners.

Worked Perfectly on Stubborn Lacebark Elm Roots

It's rare to find a product that actually works really well and gets the job done -- this one does! We had a large lacebark elm removed and used a stump grinder. If you ever want a tree that keeps coming back, this is it. Shoots started coming up everywhere, and each time I'd dig them up or treat them with various natural products (I didn't want to resort to chemicals). We dug quite deep and even used a saw to remove any large roots that still existed outside of the ground stump area. Over time the root regrowth just proliferated and I couldn't take it anymore. I wanted something strong and effective but not toxic or harmful (like Roundup). This product's reviews and information seemed to fit the bill. I diluted it per instructions (I made it a bit stronger, actually), and sprayed it on the shoots. I used a piece of cardboard to shield the grass surrounding each shoot. That's it -- no more applications, and no more root shoots! Grass is finally growing over the stump area. Oh, it worked on our poke weed too! A+++

It does kill blackberry thorn bushes

I only use such products to rid my yard of years-long growths of blackberries. I used to use Round-Up and wanted a product with less history of potential cancer. I tried this brand and it is different but effective. Round-up often acts faster and more evidently on the leaves. This one takes longer before you notice the plant is suffering. But in the end it seems to work better at preventing regrowth. It's not perfect. Blackberries are insidiously durable. You kill them in one spot and a few months later they are growing up a few yards away. I believe this works better on slowing regrowth than Round-up but that may simply be that 4 or 5 years of treatments have overall weakened the bushes' ability to pop up elsewhere. All in all, I think this is better than any other products I've used on the blackberries and recommend you try it. Best to use in spring but wait til the plants have developed leaves and are at least a foot or more high so that the poison covers a larger area of foliage and and you get more absorption. I use it liberally and soak the leaves thoroughly.

Some new plants will pop up in a month or two. I just pull them up at about 8 to 12 inches tall instead of wasting poison on them because the plants are going dormant in a month or so anyway. But re-application on these new plants may be better in the long run. You need to experiment to figure out what works for you.

I bought this product to target several specific weeds that other less toxic alternatives failed to eradicate/control. The product arrived in a timely manner and the instructions were easy to read an follow. HOWEVER, the the quality of the sprayer was clearly lacking and you could tell it would not be durable. I could have tolerated this but the sprayer was defective and didn't work at all (and yes, the sprayer was set to spray). It's a useless product if you can't spray/apply it. It says not to take the top off the bottle or remove the sprayer so i didn't bother to try putting it into another sprayer I own to avoid contaminator a sprayer I use for non toxic garden products. In the amazon return section it tells you to try calling the company support line between like 9am and 5 pm or sending them a message to contact you on their webpage. Who has time for that non sense?! Save your MONEY and TIME and buy something else. This is being returned and a different roundup product i bought at the same time is likely going t be returned with it.

FOLLOW UP: The entire bottle is defective! The bottle LEAKS everywhere!!! It covered my car, me and other items such that they now all have to be thrown out and i have no idea what to do to decontaminate my car. Surprisingly the product doesn't have as strong a smell as one would expect from something this toxic, which in my mind is a bad thing since it may let you forget that this is poison. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT!!!!
