    Pros- perfect size for my placement location.This will take an 11" LARGE dinner plate with room to spare.30 second button for quick warmup is great.** Inside light comes on when door open as well as when cooking. - Other reviews said it doesn't??? Check the model I am reviewing above.Cons: Don't be fooled by the ad pictures. The touch panel looks bright and clear in the advertisement pictures but the panel lettering is NOT BRIGHT, very DIFFICULT if not nearly impossible to read. The letters are a grey white NOT WHITE. WHY???? This is a real problem if you don't have a bright light to see what you want to select. The NUMBERS are -somewhat- less difficult to read, the writing is not as legible. On top of that if you have very light color counter or object near the panel, it reflects in the very shiny panel surface making it even more difficult to read.However the lit LED display is easy to read.The 'touch pad' requires a 'very firm' press, sometimes it takes more than one. You'd better have the back next to a solid object when using this or it will move the microwave.Problem ?? When I first used the MW it 'rumbled' like a truck on a bumpy road. The turntable was jerky and twitchy. I tried putting different objects on it, then finally reached in and forced the turntable to turn for a revolution. Voila the turntable now turns smoothly and quietly. I assume it must just need using to break it in, we'll see.Because the touch panel is so difficult to read I would normally return this - However due to the way all advertisement pictures are displayed there is no way to insure I could get a different model that is easy to read.

    One thing is certain after buying 3 of them and reading all the reviews, the extra warranty is a must. No matter how good the machine, how many great reviews, there are duds. When they go bad, they are ruined. I read reviews on maybe 40 microwaves and this was common. 5 reviews, great and 1 horrible, broke, sparked etc. The extra warranty isn't that much and if mine goes belly up, I'm covered.

    Love, love, love this microwave. I had a Sharp microwave for 25+ years and when I was ready for a new one I was unable to find a Sharp at any of the stores by me...so I bought another brand. Biggest mistake ever. That microwave lasted less than six months. So this time I went back to Sharp and am I ever glad I did. Microwave works great -- heats evenly, has 30 second feature, offers express cooking, defrost and automatic (beverage, popcorn, etc) feature & it runs quietly. Another plus -- when in operation the unit has an internal light so you can keep an eye on what you are heating. In addition the unit doesn't take up a lot of counter space...a big plus for those of us who have limited counter space. Sharp does make the best microwaves...hands down. Would highly recommend this microwave.

Not so much, regular size coffee cup kinda luke warm. Everything takes way to long to get warm much less hot. So it's ok compared to my bigger Sharp which was easier to use and more everyday choice buttons like. Beverage, popcorn, snacks that actually get hot first time around. Now have to use timed at 2 minutes for hot coffee. Oh well, live and learn and prepare for depends, lol. So this size model ok. Want fast and hot I recommend next size up.

    We spent big bucks to have a combo microwave/stove vent/light over our stove in a kitchen remodel. First an Amana, then an LG went tits up. I am getting too old to be mounting these things up over the stove. So the broken LG is going to sit there and be a vent/light/storage over the stove, and this excellent microwave is the one we use. I like it a lot.

    I'm an idiot for only reading star ratings and not reading reviews. I just got this microwave and I'm instantly disappointed that the interior light only comes on during it's operation (cooking, warming, defrosting) cycles. WHY is there no interior light when the door is opened..??? If the light came on when the door was open, it would facilitate cleaning (you know that microwave ovens need occasional cleaning). ALSO, it would be helpful (...duh) to be able to able to have some illumination while one is reaching in to remove WARM or HOT foods. ALSO, a lighted interior is a reminder to close the darn door when the microwave oven isn't "on" (being used). It's the weekend, and I'm hoping to contact Sharp "customer support" this coming Monday. I'm hoping that there is some kind of setting or work-around that will enable the interior light when the door is open. If there is no such possibility, I'm returning this, because no light when door's open is a negative for me. I don't wanna have to hold a flashlight to look into or clean the interior. The lack of that useful feature should be clearly noted on this item's description on any website that shows this model. Does anyone from Sharp wanna chime in with a comment?

    FOLLOW UP: I spoke with a Sharp Customer Service agent today and was told that NO sharp carousel microwave ovens feature an interior light that turn "on" when the door is open. The oven I purchased is the model: SMC1131C (black) Mfg Date: August, 2020. Amazon can have this back.

    I had a sharp microwave for 17 years. 17 YEARS! and I used it every day. it crapped out and while I was still grieving over the loss I purchased a different brand, at a higher price. I don't know what I was thinking. it was a piece of cwap. I returned it almost immediately and saw this one, for less money, and the sharp brand. it's footprint is a bit less than my old one but the button design is almost the same. the same quiet door closure, the soft purr vs. the loud roar, and the even cooking throughout of the food. I'm stoked.

    Bought this for condo that has limited counter space. We have had several Sharp Microwaves last 10plus years. Nice power for small microwave. Only complaint is power cord is short, so needs to be close to electrical outlet. If you use a power bar or extension make sure it can handle at least 1000Watts and do not use with other appliances.
