I admit it - I ordered this because everyone says it's the same formula as smashbox photo finish. I'm new to the world of primers anyway so I figured why not give it a go. It IS AMAZING. After you wash your face in the morning, put this on your face. First, your face will feel so amazing soft, but you will not have any pores. Then add your make up, then concealer, then finish your face with a settting powder. Not sure why it took me until 2014 to learn about primers. I also put some on my thighs to see if it really works as an anti-chafing product. well. YES it does. Ladies if your thighs rub together and start a forest fire, you must get this product.

I am disabled with very poor mobility, Type II diabetes and chronic skin breakdown in any creases in my body. My condition is further complicated by obesity. As a result I have had skin breakdown so bad that the areas were open and bleeding. At times I was unable to wear any clothing other than a soft cotton night gown. I have used many products over the years, some of them prescription, and could never achieve resolution. This advertised it would provide relief. I tried the Lanacane Anti-Chafing Gel through a free sample. Within 24 hours the redness and burning was resolving. I use it twice a day and I am happy to say I am completely free of any skin problems for the first time in over 8 years and comfortable in regular clothing. I recommend this product without reservations. It's a dollar cheaper a box through Amazon and if you set it up in subscribe and save you get free shipping. The nearest store in our area that sells it is over 30 miles away one way.

Unconventionally, I use this a facial primer prior to applying my makeup. I had read that this had a similar effect to DHC's velvet skin coat primer for half the price, so of course I was intrigued and scooped it right off Amazon! To my pleasure, this keeps my face matte throughout the day, is silky smooth upon application, unscented, DOES NOT make me break out, and is comparable to other "high-end" primers. I would argue that the DHC just feels a bit more silkier/cosmetically elegant, but the effects were quite similar. I have tried primers from Smashbox, Urban Decay, and ELF. This product still preserves my makeup the same, although I still have to blot 2 times a day like with all primers except my Hourglass primer. I will be using this on a daily basis while saving my Hourglass primer for special occasions. This unconventional product turned out to be wonderfully useful for my beauty needs!

Lanacane Anti Chafing Gel is great for those of us with inner thigh chafing problems. It helps decrease friction when your inner thighs rub together or when your clothes have elastic that rubs too tightly on your skin, causing raw painful skin and inflammation. A little bit of this small one ounce tube of Lanacane goes a long way. Just put a little bit on the skin (any part that gets rubbed raw, for example your inner thighs and under arms) and it lasts all day. It is non greasy, odorless and dries on contact. So glad I found this, now I can stop using baby powder which can be caustic!
