It fit perfectly under my patio open pergola without the nice topper it comes with. I would recommend this umbrella.

Great Umbrella, Not So Great Pole...

We have had this beautiful umbrella for 2 years and 7 months. The fabric (Macaw) is just a green as it was the day we put the umbrella up. We always put the umbrella down when it was windy and/or stormy. Unfortunately, the crank is failing. There are several small screws that keep coming loose and they can't be tightened. This interferes with raising and lowering the umbrella. I checked the seller's site and there are no replacement poles. Very disappointing for such a nice umbrella.

Last summer I made the mistake of purchasing a red patio umbrella for around 65 dollars. It worked quite well at first. It was a nice bright shade of red in June but by the end of July, it was pink. The sun bleached it that fast. Also the string broke so the umbrella was just trashed. This one was much more expensive but not a bit of fade in 6 weeks now. It also seems much sturdier. Moral of the story, you get what you pay for - at least with patio umbrellas.

Looks nice, but reel fell apart…

Love the bright yellow color, but…

Only used it at most a dozen times, and the reel which hoists it up and down, fell apart..

The handle literally came out of its hole, seemed to have unscrewed from a nut inside..

So I opened up the plastic housing, and a nut, a small gear, and some washers fell onto my table.

There were small metal shavings inside from what it seemed is the small gear cutting the other metal pieces around it..

I’ve written the seller about this, maybe this is an isolated incident, as they say if I didn’t have bad luck … well you know..

So I’m hoping that the seller will send me a new reel and string to fix the existing unit, if not replace the whole thing..

It’s a shame that the reel is not constructed of better components. It’s pretty obvious that the nut should be a locknut of sorts.. so that the assembly doesn’t simply come apart..

If I hear back from the seller, I’ll update this review with feedback..
