AccusizeTools - 7 Pcs Inch HSS Solid Capscrew Counterbore Set 3 Flute Straight Shank, #509S-0007
I haven't given these tools a good test but they appear to be decent quality for the price. I'm not sure these are a premium or different tool than the cheaper set from Accusize except this set comes in a nice wooden box. The paper label on the box does say 'Premium.' There is no manufacturer's name or country of origin anywhere on the tools or the box. Some of the pictures in the listing show what appears to be the name, Accusize, etched on the shank but there's nothing but the size etched on the tools I received. Be aware that the size of the tool isn't the size of the hole it will make. The pilot will make a clearance hole for a capscrew of the size indicated.

The counterbores are sharp and cut very nicely. Huge issue for me though is the pilots. The pilots are way oversized on every counterbore. For example the 3/8 counterbore pilot measures a crazy .405 instead of .375-.380. This leaves way to much wiggle room for me. Shoot it is larger then the call out for a 3/8 clearance drill free fit at .396. I ended up correcting this myself since I missed return window.

Bought these in November, just got around to using. They cut well, used the 3/8" a few times. Used the 5/16" about a dozen times all in mild steel. The 5/16" C.B. shank broke just above the flutes. Changing collets it dropped about 5" to vise and just broke...... I've been a Tool Maker for 27 years and have never seen this happen.... Do you offer replacement ?

The general fit and finish is OK. However when boring in aluminium the drill locks up and it's impossible to retract it again. At first i did not want to believe that, but it's reproducible. In a drill press. Small aluminium rings form around the relief behind the front guide, because the drill is not cutting but forming the metal. I was able to fix this with a more generous relief grind. Then everything works.
